Chickpea

Terms of Use

Last updated: October 17, 2026

These terms apply when you download or use the Chickpea app for iPhone. By using Chickpea, you agree to them.

Chickpea is a log, not medical advice

Chickpea records what you enter: foods, allergens, amounts, reactions, notes and photos. It does not recommend when or how to introduce any food, and it does not diagnose or treat any condition.

Always ask your pediatrician before starting solids or introducing allergens. If your baby shows signs of a serious allergic reaction, call 911 right away.

Videos and outside links

Some screens link to videos on YouTube. Those videos show general food preparation and are not personal medical guidance. YouTube's own terms apply when you watch them.

Your data

Your entries are stored on your device. You are responsible for keeping your device and backups safe. If you delete the app, the entries stored on that device are deleted with it.

Chickpea Pro

  • Chickpea Pro is sold through the App Store and billed to your Apple ID.
  • The monthly plan is an auto-renewing subscription. It renews unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
  • You can manage or cancel your subscription in Settings → your name → Subscriptions.
  • The lifetime plan is a one-time purchase.
  • Refunds are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.

Apple's standard license

Your use of the app is also covered by Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement.

No warranty

Chickpea is provided "as is." We work to keep it accurate and available, but we cannot promise it will be free of errors or interruptions. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for decisions made based on what is recorded in the app.

Changes to these terms
